XIST conducted an environmental scan of open-source digital library technologies, developed a high-level development schedule and made recommendations to migrate a legacy database to a web-based digital library platform.

Web Site Development
XIST recently finished the first iteration of a community oriented website. The project involved extensive stakeholder consultations and information architecture planning. XIST carried out an environmental scan of web content management systems and selected Drupal.

HTML Document Conversion
XIST completed a large-scale conversion of bilingual scientific and computational data into the Government of Canada’s Common Look and Feel (CLF 2.0) standard.
CLF 2.0 Document to HTML Conversion Services
XIST completed a large-scale conversion of bilingual scientific and computational data from Microsoft Word format documents into HTML format. The work included:
- template development
- quality assurance processing
- HTML coding
- logical formatting of data for structural integration with CSS controlled HTML presentation
Office Documents to HTML Conversion Services
XIST is currently engaged in a project to provide ongoing, as needed HTML coding and conversion services to adapt complex Word, Powerpoint, Excel and other document format files into a government of Canada template to comply with CLF 2.0 and departmental standards.
Annual Report Document Conversion
XIST completed a conversion of a federal Government Department’s complex Annual Report into the Government of Canada’s Common Look and Feel (CLF 2.0) standard HTML.
