XIST placed a consultant onsite to provide full-time web planning, communications policy and web development services for a Government of Canada client. Under the direction of the client, the consultant developed policies for web based communications, developed a strategic plan for aligning the department web site with emerging communication priorities, and provided project management services to guide the development team through a transition period, until a new web master was hired full time on staff.

 

XIST conducted an environmental scan of open-source digital library technologies, developed a high-level development schedule and made recommendations to migrate a legacy database to a web-based digital library platform.

 

XIST completed a large-scale conversion of bilingual scientific and computational data into the Government of Canada’s Common Look and Feel (CLF 2.0) standard.

 

XIST completed a large-scale conversion of bilingual scientific and computational data from Microsoft Word format documents into HTML format. The work included:

  • template development
  • quality assurance processing
  • HTML coding
  • logical formatting of data for structural integration with CSS controlled HTML presentation
 

XIST is currently engaged in a project to provide ongoing, as needed HTML coding and conversion services to adapt complex Word, Powerpoint, Excel and other document format files into a government of Canada template to comply with CLF 2.0 and departmental standards.

 

XIST completed a conversion of a federal Government Department’s complex Annual Report into the Government of Canada’s Common Look and Feel (CLF 2.0) standard HTML.
